Elyse Springer, LMFT, PMH-C, is a founding board member, current Policy and Advocacy Co-Chair, and Emeritus Board Member of the California Chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI-CA). She currently serves as a Clinical Advisor for the National Perinatal Loss Collaborative and is an Emeritus Governing Council member of Maternal Mental Health NOW (MMHN) and an Emeritus Board Member of Return to Zero: HOPE, following extended board service with both organizations. She previously served on the Board and Clinical Advisory Panel of 2020 Mom, a national maternal mental health policy and advocacy organization, and chaired the Los Angeles County HIV Mental Health Task Force. Elyse is training faculty for MMHN and Return to Zero: HOPE and provides policy support for Love, Dad, a nonprofit focused on paternal mental health. She has been invited to serve as a perinatal mental health subject matter expert for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), contributing to the Board’s work on clinician education and training. She was a 2024 Policy Fellow with the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health and is a co-founder of the California Perinatal Wellness Alliance.
Elyse is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California, Oregon, and Washington, certified in perinatal mental health, an EMDRIA-Approved Therapist and Consultant, and an Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) certified clinician and clinical supervisor with the IPT Institute. She lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
