With over 15 years of clinical experience, Liz specializes in women’s mental health, with a focus on the perinatal period, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in South Carolina, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, and hold my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Roanoke College in 2008 and my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine in 2010.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT, and IPT. Prior to opening my private practice, I spent 10 years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina working in the Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health Clinic, where I provided therapy, supervised clinicians, and trained future mental health professionals. I also taught graduate-level group therapy courses for 10 years in Boston University’s Master of Social Work program from 2014-2024.
