I believe it takes courage to start or return to therapy. We all have an innate drive to heal that we can sometimes lose touch with during challenging times. Together we can explore and reconnect with this resource.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker offering a collaborative space where you can feel supported in exploring difficult experiences. Therapy can be an opportunity to identify and fully feel all emotional states, even ones that seem unpleasant, overwhelming or that have been ignored. Making adequate space for these emotions allows us to relate to them in new and potentially more useful ways. This can illuminate and shift stuck patterns in life and relationships, increase self-compassion and understanding and create a sense of living authentically. I use a non-pathologizing framework to understand personal challenges as reasonable attempts to cope with a complex world. I might be a good fit for you if you are seeking support around women’s issues, maternal mental health, relationship challenges, self-esteem, anxiety or depression. My approach is influenced by psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, feminist psychology, attachment theory and polyvagal theory. I am currently offering virtual psychotherapy to adults.
