I am a UK-trained Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over 26 years of mental health experience. I have dual registration to practise as a Psychologist in Australia and the UK and have worked in a variety of mental health settings including the National Health Service, education, and the voluntary sector. I have worked in various roles as a psychologist/ psychotherapist, consultant, trainer, coach, researcher and manager of a university counselling service, and have extensive experience in supporting individuals with a range of psychological issues including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, stress, mood instability, psychosis, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, suicide, self-harm and bereavement.

For the past six years, I have managed my own private practice offering psychological treatment to adults and university students and worked as a contractor for private healthcare companies including the Priory Group based in Harley Street, London UK.

Having worked in several universities in the UK and Australia for the past 15 years, my area of specialty is student mental health. My research area of interest is student suicide. I completed doctoral research on student suicide, and my work was published in the University and College Counselling Journal for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (2021). I continue to raise awareness of suicidality in the higher education sector through offering consultancy and training on student suicidality to universities.
