Dr. Rojas received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, a branch of psychology that emphasizes understanding the whole person, including their background and circumstances in order to provide empathetic and effective care. She has trained in a number of evidenced-based practices and works to provide individualized care to each client.
Dr. Rojas has a particular passion for working with individuals who are pregnant, wanting to become pregnant, or in the postpartum period. This includes individual who experienced trauma during childbirth or are finding that past trauma is impacting their journey in parenthood.
Dr. Rojas has been working in the field of mental health since 2009. She completed her internship in Augusta, Georgia where she trained in behavioral health interventions and a number of evidenced based treatments working at both the Veterans Affairs Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia. She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Stanford University, receiving training in the treatment of trauma and eating disorders, and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is currently a member of the clinical faculty at Stanford University Medical Center, and manages the training for a large NIMH grant through an affiliation with Palo Alto University.
