Dr Chung has been working as a psychiatrist in Hong Kong since 2002. He has become the chairman of the committee overseeing perinatal psychiatric service provision in the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong since 2021. He has extensive experience in using both medication treatment and psychological interventions, including IPT, in adult psychiatric patients, perinatal psychiatric patients, psychiatric patients in consultation-liaison setting and adolescent psychiatric patients . He is a certified trainer and supervisor in IPT by the International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (ISIPT) and a Level D supervisor by IPT Institute. He is the vice-president of IPT-China and a member of the ISIPT dissemination committee and ISIPT certification committee. He has published articles and book chapters on IPT. He is passionate about disseminating IPT in Hong Kong and in mainland China. He served as an associate editor in the first IPT casebook in China. He is interested in the cultural adaptation of IPT among Chinese populations. He has been conducting IPT trainings and supervisions in Hong Kong, and collaborating with clinical leaders in China to conduct IPT trainings in mainland China.
