Ann Back Price, MSN, IAAP, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Ms. Back Price is a psychotherapy training coordinator, supervisor and course leader for the Brown University psychiatry residency program. She also works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the Women and Infants Hospital Perinatal Partial Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. A graduate of Smith College, Ms. Back Price earned her MSN at Yale University and completed a fellowship in psychoanalysis at the C. G. Jung Institute in Boston.
Ms. Back Price is a certified Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) trainer with a particular focus on treating women with perinatal psychiatric disorders. She also has extensive clinical and research experience in the field of bereavement and perinatal loss. Ms. Back Price was a co-principal investigator and co-author for an R34 National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) study investigating an IPT group treatment approach with women who have experienced perinatal loss. She is a member of the Women & Infants Hospital Bereavement Board.
