Level A Basic Training in IPT (Two Days)

Level A Training in IPT is open to all interested mental health clinicians and students.  The course is an introduction to IPT theory and research, with a strong emphasis on clinical application of IPT.  Participants will learn the basics of IPT and be fully equipped to conduct IPT at the end of the course.

The clinical emphasis of the course includes review and discussion of experts conducting IPT, review of specific examples of IPT tactics and techniques, role playing, and interactive work in small groups.

We suggest Interpersonal Psychotherapy: A Clinician’s Guide (2nd Edition) as reading prior to the training.

The Level A course is the first required step for all certification tracks in IPT.

All participants will receive a Level A certificate upon completion of the course.  14 hours of CE credit from the APA are available.

The Level A Course is typically scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for both days
