IPT Research Therapist Training and Certification

IPT Research Therapist Training and Certification in IPT is designed for therapists who will be conducting research in IPT, especially in clinical trials.  The emphasis is on intensive training that ensures completely reliable and adherent IPT for research.  Research-Based Therapist Certification is also required for those therapists who wish to become supervisors or trainers in IPT.

Completion of two supervised cases results in "IPT Certified Therapist" designation and certification of Level B Training.  Clinicians who complete four supervised cases will receive designation as an "IPT Certified Research Therapist" certification of Level C Training.

Completion of Level C Training is highly recommended for clinicians participating in clinical trials.

Completion of Level C Training is required for clinicians who wish to go on to become Supervisors (Level D) or Trainers (Level E).
