Iowa River Psychiatry and Counseling is dedicated to the treatment of mental health needs of people from Iowa and neighboring communities.  We welcome people of all ages, and have additional specialty services for women and families during pregnancy and the postpartum.

We provide complete psychiatric evaluations and medical treatment as well as psychotherapy and counseling services for anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and many other types of psychological distress.

The Service is directed by Scott Stuart, MD, an Emeritus Professor at the University of Iowa and the University of Southern California who has been in practice over 30 years.  Dr. Stuart has expertise in psychiatry and psychotherapy and has been involved in the training of psychiatrists and psychologists in Iowa and around the world.
